Having completed my B.A. in History of Art and English Literature at Durham University in 2019, I was inspired to pursue a career in interior design. Drawing from my academic experiences, I came to Inchbald with the ability to approach any brief analytically, with strong research skills and a wide historical and contemporary artistic knowledge.
During the course of my Diploma, the artistic knowledge and design vocabulary that I had learnt have been nurtured and channelled to focus on the further development of my architectural and design capabilities. The Inchbald has helped me to develop the ability to visualise design concepts; from sketches to verbal and written direction. Other skills I acquired included effectively producing presentations in a variety of styles to suit individual briefs, developing the design from concept creation through to design development. I have learnt to combine creative ideas with technical requirements to resolve design detailing.
My acquired knowledge of AutoCAD has allowed me to produce detailed and accurate construction document packages including plans, sections, elevations and details. I have also developed a proficient use of Photoshop, SketchUp and InDesign which has widened my skill set significantly.
At present, I am completing an internship at Natalia Miyar Atelier assisting the design team with FF& E and architectural drawings. I am a focused and results oriented individual, with excellent interpersonal skills, seeking permanent work opportunities to challenge and develop myself creatively, and to make a strong contribution to the company that I join from the outset.
